WHS Essentials – An introduction to work health & safety

Do you have little or no experience in Work Health and Safety? If so, then this is the course for you!

This introductory course will help participants gain an understanding of the importance of WHS within the work place and some of the individual roles and responsibilities. We will also discuss how to effectively manage WHS, and the basic legislative tools that can be used to enforce the effective management of health and safety within the workplace. 

At the end of this course participants should be able to effectively and successfully:

  • Explain the importance of WHS
  • Identify the roles and duties of all key stakeholders
  • Understand how to achieve your responsibilities under WHS legislation
  • Understand hazard management and risk assessment processes
  • Understand the importance of reporting injuries/incidents.
