What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a service that recognises the knowledge and skills you already have from life and work experience, previous courses and training or from self-taught knowledge and skills. In applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), the knowledge and skills you have are measured against a unit or subject in the course in which you are enrolled or want to enroll. If successful, you might not have to do one or more units in your course, so you could complete your studies in less time and at less cost.
Being competent means that:
What will it cost?
How to use the Self-evaluation
In order to use this self-evaluation successfully and to avoid any confusion please read all content and follow the instructions and prompts provided.
How much time will the RPL Self-evaluation process take?
The self-evaluation exercise on this site should only take you about 10-15 minutes to complete. However, Recognition of Prior Learning with Albrighton Consulting does take time, much less time than completing a full course from start to finish with no prior experience. To have skills formally recognised in the national system, our assessors must make sure you have the skills and knowledge to meet the industry standard. Our assessor will work with you through the RPL process. This means you must be involved in a careful and comprehensive process that covers the content of all unit/s or qualification/s you can be recognised for.
