Chairing Skills

Leading a meeting can be as tricky as taming lions if you are not prepared and confident about what the role involves.  This half day course will build your understanding and skills about what chairing involves and how you can 'control' the process and the people to get through the business of the meeting with minimal fuss, maximum output and maximum satisfaction for everyone.

Facilitator: Kate Reynolds

Kate has had her own business for 17 years.  She also worked for 10 years in the not for profit sector and in the government sector and spent six years as an elected member (in local government and then the SA Parliament).  Kate helps small not-for-profit organisations work smarter, not harder. She writes and delivers low cost, short duration, high impact customised training programs and helps small organisations and programs to review and renew their structures, services, plans and toolkits.  Kate also helps staff and Board members understand how they can build productive relationships with journalists to 'get their message out there'. Kate loves a good meeting and will do just about anything to avoid poorly run 'meetings bloody meetings'.
