Assessment Information

Assessment Requirements

The assessment requirements for this unit are as follows.

Utilising the workbook, BSBHRM501A Managing Human Resource Services, please answer the following questions in relation to your own work environment. Answers should reflect your own understanding, information from the workbook and your own investigation and research. When you have completed these questions email them to your administration contact along with your signed assessment cover sheet.

Present a two part report that would be suitable for presentation to the directors of the organisation.

Part 1

Write a report for the development of a HR department. Include the strategies and plans that would be used, incorporating the consultation process with appropriate managers, the costs involved, risk analysis identified, legislative requirements, clear role definitions and responsibilities.

Part 2

Conduct a review of the current working arrangements within your organisation and determine the ability to adopt flexible working arrangements within your workplace. Identify and discuss the merits in your work place for, flexible working hours, part time work and job sharing. Discuss the advantages and the disadvantages.
